Creating a CV in English – basic rules

  • A CV in English, like in Polish, is distinguished by a limited amount of personal data, and in certain cases it should not contain a photo and a GDPR clause. If you are applying to a company in Polish or a Polish company abroad, the GDPR clause is required.
  • If you are writing your CV in English, you are probably applying for a position in an international company. It is important to know that most large enterprises use information systems for recruitment management (ATS). ATS programs find keywords in the content of your resume, so your document should be tailored to a specific advertisement.
  • In addition to the content, the format is also important – save your CV in English in PDF format, which is read by ATS systems.
  • Also, take care of the proper appearance of your resume. A good English resume template is concise and readable, with the most important sections and additional elements that you can customize to suit your needs. If you want to create a document in a few minutes, reach for a CV creator in English, which will automatically translate the names of the fields.
