How to write your first CV? Where to start?
Your first resume can be just as effective as a resume of an employee with work experience. Many employers appreciate young people who stand out for their commitment and willingness to acquire new skills, moreover, candidates who have just graduated from school or university usually have lower financial expectations. Whether you already have experience or are at the beginning of your career, you should create a compelling CV. How to do it? Start with a professional summary, it is a few sentences in which you describe your key competencies and professional goal.
First CV – template of the professional summary
“I am a graduate of management at the WSB University in Poznań (master’s degree), I completed a 3-month student internship at New Finances, where I developed analytical and negotiation skills. I have a category B driving license, I know English very well and I use the MS 365 package perfectly. At Good PR, I would like to use my knowledge of marketing gained during my studies.”
First CV – professional experience
Your first CV may include an interesting description of your work experience, even if you have not yet worked formally, you have many opportunities to show your skills and commitment. You can include summer jobs, volunteering, internships and apprenticeships, or even blogging or photography. Each activity you participated in taught you something new – from teamwork, through time management, to responsibility for completing tasks.
Do you already have your first experience? Even short periods of employment should be included, as they will spice up your resume after high school or college. Provide the scope of responsibilities and try to match it to the job offer.
Remember to describe your experience in a CV in a concise and specific way. Provide the name of the company, position, a brief description of responsibilities and achievements – even small successes show that you can approach tasks with commitment.

You will cope much easier in your new job position when you already know the computer programs used in the company, and the use of foreign languages will increase your capabilities. The skills section of a young person’s CV should include hard (technical, linguistic) and soft skills (e.g. communicativeness, analytical thinking).
