What are public holidays 2025?

Non-working days are specified in the Act of 18 January 1951 on non-working days. In 2024, there were 13 non-working days, but in connection with the Act of December 6, 2024 amending the Act on non-working days and certain other acts, from 2025 we can enjoy Christmas Eve off.

What days are public holidays?

  • January 1 – New Year’s Day;
  • January 6 – Epiphany;
  • the first day of Easter;
  • the second day of Easter;
  • May 1 – Public Day (Labor Day);
  • 3 May – National Day of the Third of May (Constitution Day of 3 May);
  • the first day of Pentecost;
  • Corpus Christi Day;
  • August 15 – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary;
  • November 1 – All Saints’ Day;
  • November 11 – National Independence Day;
  • December 24 – Christmas Eve;
  • December 25 – Christmas Day;
  • December 26 – the second day of Christmas.

How to make the most of your days off 2025?

Note that in 2025 as many as 10 days off fall in the middle of the week, so you can plan your holiday leave in such a way as to gain more long breaks from work! See how to do it!

January – public holidays 2025

Already at the beginning of the year, you have a great opportunity to really relax – all you have to do is use only two days from your holiday pool and you will gain a 6-day break!

If you plan your holiday on Thursday and Friday (2.01 and 3.01), you will get a day off from the New Year until Epiphany!

May Day 2025

Many people go on a May holiday, great weather is conducive to spending time in the mountains or by the lake. Labor Day May 1 in 2025 falls on a Thursday, so if you plan your vacation for Friday (2.05), you will be able to rest for as many as 4 days!

For the National Day of the Third of May, which falls on a Saturday, your employer should give you an additional day off at a different time in the same settlement period.

Holidays in June – non-working days 2025

Corpus Christi is a public holiday, it falls on a Thursday every year, so you have two options for using your annual leave:

  • you can take Friday off (20.06) and get a four-day rest,
  • or take a nine-day break using the holidays on June 16, 17, 18 and 20.

August holidays 2025

August 15, i.e. the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as the Polish Army Day, in 2025 falls on a Friday, so everyone will have a long three-day weekend. If you find that you need more time to relax, you can take advantage of your vacation from August 11 to 14 and thus rest for up to 9 days!

Public holidays 2025 in November

All Saints’ Day in 2025 is celebrated on Saturday, but the employer should designate an additional day off for this day.

Independence Day on November 11 falls on Tuesday. You have two options for a longer autumn rest:

  • Take your vacation on Monday (10.11) and get 4 days off;
  • Plan your vacation for November 10, 12, 13 and 14 to enjoy a nine-day break.

How does Christmas fall off? Holidays 2025

The end of 2025 guarantees all employees as many as 5 days of continuous rest – from Christmas Eve on Wednesday, December 24, through the first and second days of Christmas, to the weekend of December 27 and 28.

Do you have the opportunity to plan a long holiday in December? Are you not chasing mandatory deadlines and annual summaries? You can get as many as 16 days off by using 6 days from your holiday pool: 22, 23, 29, 30 and 31 December and 2 January.
